A very happy aloha, everyone!
How was the weekend?!
I have to admit, it was a pretty lazy one for us. Ever since our close friends left this summer, we’ve become homebodies. Luckily, we did have a beach birthday party for a good friend, which got us out of the house for a bit on Saturday.
That evening, we had a friend over for dinner followed by playing Cards Against Humanity late into the night. I don’t know if we needed an expansion pack or what, but the game was not as terrible as I remember it being last time we played. I’ll be ordering the game with an expansion pack or two eventually. PS: I’m addicted to Amazon.
Yesterday, the family made a quick trip to Lowe’s in search of crafting supplies. Sadly, they didn’t have what I was looking for, but you can be sure that we walked out with a bunch of other crap! I ended up ordering what I needed on Amazon (of course!). I probably should have just checked there before wasting time loading and unloading the kids from the car and chasing them down aisles.
After quite a bit of time away from this space, I finally sat down and planned out my editorial calendar for the next month or so. The ideas have all been there, it’s just an issue of getting all the typing and photography accomplished.
I’ve felt myself getting lazy in the last few months, so having a few minor goals to work towards should hopefully get the ball rolling.
I used a plethora of stickers in my planner last week to make sure I was accomplishing all the chores and daily tasks that needed to be done. Let me tell you, the stickers certainly helped get the momentum going. I know there are plenty of planners out there who are against using stickers and such, but they honestly help keep me focused. Now I just need to settle on a good daily routine and make it happen daily.
This week will once again be a busy one, which makes me not mind the lazy weekends so much.
Have a great week! Can you believe it’s about to be Fall?!
