Need a special treat for an upcoming Valentine’s event? These little monster brownies are the perfect easy dessert! In case you haven’t noticed, I’m seriously digging the monster theme this year!
Just like the Valentine’s the girls will be passing out in school, these can be customize to look however you’d like! I love playing with food!
To start these guys off, you’ll have to bake some brownie. Annny type of brownie works (as long as it’s semi-strudy), so feel free to keep it simple with a box mix! I did!
Once the brownies have cooled, use a cookie cutter to cut out your shapes! No heart cookie cutter? These are a great option or just use whatever shape you have in your kitchen!
Then, using a Wilton #233 tip, gently make some fuzzy monsters! The nice part about this is that it doesn’t have to be perfect and you can just dab the frosting on pretty quickly!
To finish the brownies off, add an eye or two or five, to create your own unique monsters! My favorite thing about all these recent monster crafts, is being able to just play with different fun eye combinations!
And you’re done! Easy as
- 1 box of brownie mix any brand
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C. vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp. water
- pink frosting I used Pillsbury strawberry
- candy googly eyes
- disposable frosting bag
- Wilton #233 tip
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil or parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Combine the brownie mix and eggs, oil, and water.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 18-22 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Use the heart cookie cutters to cut the brownies.
Attach the frosting tip and fill the piping bag with frosting. Gently squeeze the frosting onto the brownie. Give each frosted brownie a few candy eyes.
Repeat with all the brownies
